Jean Stoffer Interiors
A native Chicagoan, and recent Southwest Michigan transplant, Jean has built her design firm focusing on each project with careful attention to detail, respect for classic architecture and genuine interest in her clients, their lives and how they hope to use their home.
She originally became nationally known for her unique and timeless kitchen designs and now is known for her elegant and approachable designs for the whole home, with a special affection for the kitchen. Jean’s key design partner is her daughter, Grace Start, who joined the firm in 2016. Jean’s classicism and Grace’s fresh modern vibe create a unique and compelling style that is comfortable, timeless and beautiful.
Jean Stoffer Design’s unique mix of materials, textures and color, combined with an understanding and expert application of interior detailing, scale and proportion has propelled the firm and its work into the national design conversation. It defies trends and provides environments that clients find relaxing, exciting and comfortable.
In 2018 her design firm opened a brick and mortar store “Stoffer Home” in Grand Rapids, Michigan which has become a destination for many. The store opened online for e- commerce in 2019. Jean has curated a collection of home accessories, lighting fixtures, rugs and furnishings that all work beautifully together. Many exclusive lines that were created by Jean uniquely for the shop are available to all who love the aesthetic she has become know for.
