Kelly Hoppen has over 40 years’ experience at the forefront of the design industry, seamlessly blending a natural balance and timeless style to create a sanctuary that is tailor-made and all about her clients. As one of the most sought-after interior designers in the world, Kelly Hoppen creates both residential and commercial interiors that are elegant, sophisticated and timeless.
Kelly Hoppen was born in Cape Town, South Africa and has designed everything from private residences to yachts and jets, hotels, restaurants, and offices. She is also the author of eight design books and appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den from 2013 to 2015.
Hoppen prefers to use a neutral color palette and has said of her design philosophy, “My philosophy has always remained the same. It’s about creating calm balanced environments based on Eastern cultures, i.e. order and creation of harmony. How people feel in a space is as important as the way it looks; one can’t be without the other to succeed.” She also feels that a home should be where you feel joy and happiness, as well as reflect the spirit, life and loves of the people who live there.
